Hy-Line UK leads the way in the production and distribution of day – old chicks to egg producers across the UK and Ireland, including the world leading Hy-Line Brown. Thanks to the pioneering research of our parent company Hy-Line International, we offer the most genetically advanced birds in the world. Each new generation is bred for a longer, more productive life, and represents the very latest in breeding technology.

The health and welfare of Hy-Line chicks are prioritised at every stage of the production process, through to arrival to our customers. In partnership with our customers we also deliver an aftersales service that is second to none, delivering support through a dedicated UK team with technical and commercial experience and specialist support from veterinarians, nutritionists and geneticists.

Hy-Line UK is part of the Hy-Line International family, which is the global leader in poultry layer genetics.

The Hy-Line quest for improvement has made our operation one of the most advanced in the world and our Millennium Hatchery continues to be at the forefront of modern technology and is widely recognised as one of the largest, advanced and safest facilities in Europe.

We have developed a strong farming base that is spread across the country to help reduce risk and protect the flow of hatching eggs and we are committed to the highest standards of bio security and bird welfare.

All our farms are Lion code registered and part of the poultry health scheme. We have a dedicated production and technical team helping our farms achieve these standards.

Hy-Line UK also supports the UK egg laying industry by contributing to, supporting, and participating in events. For example, we're proud sponsors of the International Egg Commission (IEC) and Nuffield Scholars.

TRANSPORT

Hy-Line UK have continued to invest in technology to help improve chick quality and are the first breed company in the UK to introduce a Veit purpose-built chick carrier.

It has been designed to help improve the quality of chicks, and ensure all the chicks within the load are kept ventilated at the optimum temperature using a unique 3D filtered airflow.

The vehicle also reduces our carbon footprint, using Eco Transport Technology, which recycles wasted heat from the engine to keep the chicks warm.
